John Tapp

John Tapp teaches Upper School computer at the Academy (8th through 12th Grade).  He grew up in Huntsville, AL.  John has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Alabama Huntsville.  Prior to joining the staff at Whitesburg Christian Academy in 2005, he has held numerous positions in the computer science field.  He currently works as the senior software engineer for Morgan Research/Stanley Associates.  Prior to that, he was a computer scientist for the Computer Sciences Corporation, a senior member of the technical team at Boeing Computer Support Services, on the technical staff of TRW Defense Systems Group, and a field systems specialist for the TRW Electronics Components Group.  John and his wife, Cindy, are the parents of two children.  They are active members at Whitesburg Baptist Church.  In his spare time, he enjoys computers, astronomy, and scouting.  His favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 40:31.
