Melinda Hooper

Melinda Hooper teaches 1st Grade at the Academy.  She grew up in Fayetteville, TN.  Ms. Hooper has a Bachelor’s degree from Athens State University and a Master’s degree from the University of North Alabama.  She is currently working on her Doctorate degree from Cornerstone University.  Prior to joining the staff at Whitesburg Christian Academy in 2006, she taught 2nd Grade at Faith Christian Academy.  Ms. Hooper loves her two cats, Sassy and Lynxie.  Melinda is an active member of her church, where she plays keyboard and sings for both the youth band “Never Thirst” and the main sanctuary worship team.  In her spare time she enjoys, cooking, reading, writing, horses, crafts, and playing piano and bass.  Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.
