Carol Chandler

 

Carol Chandler is an Upper School teacher at the Academy.  In addition to 12th Grade homeroom, her classes include: 9th Grade English, 11th Grade English, 12th Grade English, middle and high school drama, creative writing, and speech.  Mrs. Chandler also serves as the sponsor for the Drama Club.  She grew up in Huntsville, AL.  She has a B. A. in Speech/Dramatic Arts and an M. A. in English.  Prior to joining the staff at Whitesburg Academy in 2004, Mrs. Chandler taught at Butler High School and Randolph School.  She and her husband, Sonny, are the parents of two children, Matthew and Emma.  They are active members of Whitesburg Baptist Church.  In her spare time, Mrs. Chandler enjoys reading, gardening, sewing, and theater activities.  Her favorite Bible verse is Galatians 6:9.
